New Jersey Property Tax Relief Programs for Seniors and Social Security/Railroad Retirement Disability Benefit Recipients:
The PAS -1 Forms are available online and those individuals that are already in the system will receive their personalized books in the mail. This is a Single Combined Application from the State of New Jersey for Seniors and those receiving Social Security Disability in New Jersey to apply for Property Tax Relief. The combined application is for the Senior Freeze (Property Tax Reimbursement), ANCHOR, and Stay NJ programs for residents 65 and over, or those collecting Social Security Disability Benefits.
Individuals Under 65 and Not Collecting Social Security/Railroad Retirement Disability Benefits:
Most eligible filers will have their ANCHOR applications, Form ANC-1, auto-filed and will receive an ANCHOR Benefit Confirmation Letter in August. Eligible individuals whose ANC-1 applications are not auto-filed can file the property tax relief application electronically or download the ANC-1 application and submit it by mail when the application becomes available.
