Certificate of Occupancy for Sale or Resale of Property

Please note: The Borough of Audubon works directly with the seller or the seller’s agent, not the buyer or buyer’s agent.

ALL CO REQUESTS MUST COME FROM THE SELLER OR THE SELLER’S AGENT. (There is no application to complete.)

Please include the following information in your request:

1. Name of seller/property owner
2. Property address
3. Closing date
4. Whether there is a sump pump on the property

Commercial Properties

Commercial properties do not require a Certificate of Occupancy prior to settlement. However, the new owner must contact the Fire Marshal’s Office immediately after settlement to schedule an inspection.
