- Kings Highway – 7:00am to 3:30pm. On Monday thru Friday, Capital Concrete, on behalf of South State, will be removing/replacing concrete curb, sidewalks and driveways. Work will be within the established work zone, there will be no traffic impact between Wyoming Avenue & 8th Avenue and a shoulder closure between Hopkins Road & White Horse Pike. On Monday, South State will be performing emergency sanitary sewer repairs, there will be a full road closure at the intersection with East Lake Drive. On Tuesday, South State will be performing storm sewer work, there will be a full road closure between Willits Avenue & White Horse Pike. On Wednesday, Zone will be painting crosswalk and traffic markings, there will be lane shifts between Market Street & Black Horse Pike.

- West Atlantic Avenue – 9:00am to 3:00pm. Buckley Cable, on behalf of Comcast, will be performing aerial utility work, there will be alternating traffic with flaggers at four locations between West Merchant Street & West Pine Street.
Monday June 9 thru Friday June 13, 2025 – No Permit (County Project)
- Kings Highway – 7:00am to 3:30pm. South State will be milling and paving between Market Street & Black Horse Pike, there will be a partial road closure eastbound between Roosevelt Avenue & Black Horse Pike (Monday-Thursday). Capital Concrete will be removing/replacing concrete sidewalks, driveways, and ADA ramps, work will be within the established work zone between East Lake Drive & West Atlantic Avenue with minimal traffic impact (Tuesday-Friday). South State will be removing/replacing the sanitary sewer main and laterals between 3rd Avenue & 1st Avenue from West Atlantic Avenue to Hopkins Road with a 24/7 one-way detour in place (Monday-Friday).
Wednesday June 11, 2025 – Permit # 25-05545

- Kings Highway – 7:00am to 3:30pm. South State will be reconstructing the south side of the intersection of Kings Highway & Market Street. Capital Concrete will be removing/replacing concrete curb, sidewalks, driveways, and ADA ramps, work will be within the established work zone between East Lake Drive & West Atlantic Avenue. SWERP will be parging sanitary sewer manholes, work will be within the established work zone between East Lake Drive & West Atlantic Avenue. South State will be removing/replacing the sanitary sewer main and laterals between 3rd Avenue & 1st Avenue from West Atlantic Avenue to Hopkins Road. There will be 24/7 one-way detours in place for both South State locations at the intersection of Kings Highway & Market Street as well as between West Atlantic Avenue & Hopkins Road.

• Segment 1 (Market Street to Black Horse Pike)
O 5/12-5/13, Capital Concrete, on behalf of South State, will be installing curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons. There will be shoulder closures with lane shifts.
O 5/14-5/15, Tough Turf Landscaping, on behalf of South State, will be installing brick paver sidewalks. There will be shoulder closures with lane shifts.
• Segment 3 (East Lake Drive to West Atlantic Avenue)
o 5/13-5/16, Capital Concrete, on behalf of South State, will be installing curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons. Work will be in the dedicated work zone and there will be little to no impact on normal two-way traffic.
o 5/14-5/16, SWERP, on behalf of South State, will be parging sanitary sewer manholes. Work will be in the dedicated work zone and there will be little to no impact on normal two-way traffic.
• Segment 4 (West Atlantic Avenue to Hopkins Road)
o 5/12-5/16, South State will continue with sanitary sewer removal and replacement between 3rd Ave and 1st Ave. There will be a full one-way closure in place.

- Kings Highway – 7:00am to 3:30pm. Capital Concrete will be installing curbs and sidewalks, there will be a lane shift between Market Street & Black Horse Pike. Also, South State will continue the sanitary sewer installation between Edgewood Avene and West Atlantic Avenue in the work zone with possible intermittent one-way detours during operations. On Monday-Wednesday, McVac Sewer will be inspecting and cleaning the sanitary sewer main, there will be a shoulder closure or lane shift between Black Horse Pike & East Lake Drive.
Wednesday April 30, 2025 – Permit # 24-05393
- West Nicholson Road – 9:00am to 3:00pm. PSE&G Electric will continue the aerial wire install, there will be a lane shift between the Black Horse Pike & Road B.
Monday April 21 thru Friday April 25, 2025 – No Permit (County Project)
- Kings Highway – 7:30am to 3:30pm. South State will continue with sanitary sewer installation between Edgewood Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue on the Audubon side using possible intermittent one-way detours during operations. Capital Concrete will be installing curbs and sidewalks in the vicinity of Mary Bray Elementary School between Lincoln Avenue and Station Avenue in Mt. Ephraim using shoulder closures and lane shifts. On Monday thru Wednesday, South State will continue with the reconstruction of Market Street & Kings Highway intersection in Mt. Ephraim using a one-way detour during work hours. On Thursday, South State will be completing a storm pipe crossing near the Conrail railroad tracks in Mt. Ephraim using a full closure and detour between Station Avenue and James Street during work hours.
Monday April 14 thru Friday April 18, 2025 – No Permit (County Project)
- Kings Highway – 7:30am to 3:30pm. On Monday & Tuesday, South State will be milling and paving Kings Highway between East Lake Drive and Edgewood Avenue on the Audubon side, there will be a one-way closure with northbound traffic (toward Haddonfield) remaining open and southbound traffic (towards Mount Ephraim) being detoured around the work zone. On Monday thru Friday, South State will be reconstructing the intersection of Kings Highway & Market Street in Mt. Ephraim. There will be a one-way closure with westbound traffic (towards Mount Ephraim/Brooklawn) remaining open and eastbound traffic (towards Audubon/Haddon Heights) being detoured around the work zone. Access for residents, emergency vehicles, schools, and businesses will be maintained.

- East Atlantic Avenue – 9:00am to 3:00pm. Henkels & McCoy, on behalf of PSE&G, will be restoring a 4x4 asphalt patch, there will be a full road closure at the intersection with Chestnut Street.
Monday March 31 thru Friday April 4, 2025 – No Permit (County Project)
- Kings Highway. South State will be removing and replacing a sanitary sewer main and laterals, there will be a partial road closure southbound between Amherst Road and Harvard Road in Audubon 24/7. Capital Concrete will be continuing their concrete work with shoulder closures at the intersection of Kings Highway and Market Street in Mount Ephraim and South State will be paving, with lane shifts between Thornolden Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue on the Haddon Heights side from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Friday April 4, 2025 – Permit # 25-03300
- 301 West Nicholson Avenue – 7:00am to 3:00pm. Pioneer Pipe, on behalf of New Jersey American Water, will be base paving a sink hole, there will be alternating traffic with flaggers at the intersection with Wyoming Avenue. Wyoming Avenue will be closed between West Nicholson Road & West Merchant Street.
Monday March 24 thru Friday March 28, 2025 – No Permit (County Project)
Kings Highway. South State will be removing and replacing a sanitary sewer main and laterals, there will be a partial road closure southbound between Amherst Road and Harvard Road in Audubon 24/7. Capital Concrete will be continuing their concrete work with shoulder closures at the intersection of Kings Highway and Market Street in Mount Ephraim and South State will be paving, with lane shifts between Thornolden Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue on the Haddon Heights side from 7:00am to 3:30pm.
Please be advised that starting at 7:00 AM, Monday, March 17, 2025 (weather permitting), there will be a one-way daytime closure of Kings Highway, between 3rd Avenue and Edgewood Avenue, for roadway milling and paving operations. Northbound thru-traffic (driving towards Haddonfield) will be detoured around the work zone. Southbound thru-traffic (driving towards Mount Ephraim) will remain on Kings Highway. A traffic control plan is attached.
On Tuesday, March 18th starting at 7:00 AM, there will be a one-way daytime closure of Kings Highway, between White Horse Pike and Edgewood Avenue, for continued roadway milling and paving operations. Northbound thru-traffic (driving towards Haddonfield) will be detoured around the work zone. Southbound thru-traffic (driving towards Mount Ephraim) will remain on Kings Highway. A traffic control plan is attached.
Crews will continue working in the work area without detours for Wednesday (March 19th) and Thursday (March 20th) in preparation for the planned traffic switch on Kings Highway between Edgewood Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue to the newly paved side of the roadway.
As of right now, the weather forecast for Monday (3/17) is calling for rain most of the day. If the forecast holds and the contractor is unable to work on Monday (3/17), all work described above will be postponed by one-day.
CONSTRUCTION UPDATE AS OF MARCH 13, 2025
Please be advised that starting at 7:00 AM tomorrow, March 13, 2025, there will be a one-way closure of Kings Highway, between Amherst Road and White Horse Pike, for sanitary sewer removal and replacement. Southbound thru-traffic (driving towards White Horse Pike) will be detoured around the work zone using Amherst Road and Harvard Road. Northbound thru-traffic (driving towards Haddonfield) will be maintained. The traffic control plan is attached for your reference.
Due to the nature of the work and limited roadway width, this closure will need to be in place 24/7 until work is completed. In discussing with the contractor, work is anticipated to take three [3] weeks. Access for residents, emergency vehicles, St. Rose School, and local traffic will be maintained.

Asphalt Paving Systems will be performing full depth reclamation, there will be a lane shift between Thornolden Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue on the Haddon Heights side. Capital Concrete will be removing and replacing curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons, there will be shoulder closures at the intersection of Kings Highway and Market Street in Mount Ephraim. On Wednesday thru Friday, South State will be saw cutting and removing concrete roadway sections, there will be a partial road closure westbound between 4th Avenue and Amherst Road on the Audubon side.

- 249 Crystal Lake Avenue – 7:00am to 11:00am. Pioneer Pipe, on behalf of New Jersey American Water, will be replacing a water service, there will be alternating traffic with flaggers between Hopkins Road & Prospect Avenue.

Nelson Tree Service, on behalf of PSE&G, will be trimming trees, there will be alternating traffic with flaggers in multiple stretches of road throughout the week between West Nicholson Road in Audubon & Evesham Road in Magnolia. They will not be working in Audubon on Thursday or Friday to avoid conflicts with the Henkels & McCoy and Pioneer Pipe projects.
Monday March 3 thru Friday March 7, 2025 – No Permit (County Project)

South State will be removing and replacing a sanitary sewer main and laterals and Capital Concrete will be removing and replacing ADA ramps, curbs, sidewalks, and driveway aprons. There will be a lane shift between East Lake Drive & Thornolden Avenue on the Audubon side. Also, Asphalt Paving Systems will be performing full depth reclamation with a lane shift between Thornolden Avenue and West Atlantic Avenue on the Haddon Heights side.
